What is the large business energy efficiency registration and why is it important?
From an energy efficiency perspective, the large business registration is a legal obligation to increase transparency on energy use and to help achieve energy efficiency targets. Through registration, large companies provide data on their energy use, which contributes to the development and monitoring of national energy efficiency strategies. Registration is essential for regulatory compliance.
How to register a large company?
Registration for large companies is done through the dedicated online interface, by filling in and submitting a specific form.
Access and submission
The form is available at magyarorszag.hu on the Personalised Administration Interface (PIA).
- Search: enter “energy efficiency” in the search box and select the option “Declaration to complete large business registration”.
- How to submit: the form can be submitted by a company representative or by a natural person acting as a proxy.
- Power of attorney: if a natural person submits the form as a proxy, a power of attorney must first be given to the company through the Registry of Names (RNY). It is advisable to do this for all energy efficiency related matters.
Content and how to fill in
In addition to the existing form, the form now contains an additional front page where the data provider’s details must be provided, as appropriate. The content of the other pages remains unchanged.
- Reporting agent details: information on the reporting agent must be provided on the new front page.
- Enter affiliated enterprises (field 9): it is important to pay particular attention to the correct entry of affiliated enterprises. By clicking on field 9.1, it is possible to enter more enterprises, in which case the form will be expanded with the necessary fields.
Energy efficiency registration for large companies is a key obligation that contributes to sustainable energy management. The registration process can be done via the SZÜF interface on magyarorszag.hu, either through a company portal or by proxy. It is of utmost importance that the affiliated companies are accurately indicated on the form to ensure that the declaration is complete and correct.
