What is the electricity system charge and why do we pay it?
Electricity system charges are an essential part of the energy service. These charges are paid to maintain, develop and operate the electricity networks, ensuring a stable and reliable energy supply. The charges are set by law and affect the final price of energy to consumers.
A 627/2021. (XI. 15.) Government Decree by way of derogation from Section 143 (1) and Section 178/T (4) (d) of Act LXXXVI of 2007 on Electricity (Decree), the emergency situation shall be deemed to be the situation of the electricity sector after the determination of the initial prices pursuant to Section 143 (1) and Section 178/T (4) (d) of Decree LXXXVI of 2007 on Electricity (Decree). 143. § The first date for setting annual prices within the price regulation cycle pursuant to paragraph (1) of Article 1 shall be 1 July 2022. In setting the system charges, the Vet. 143. § (5) shall apply with the exception that the fee shall be set no later than 15 days before the fee becomes applicable.
This means From January 2022 until 30 June 2022, the system charges in force on 31 December 2021 shall apply.

Structure and rates of the fees (1 January – 30 June 2022)
The system charges on your electricity bill are made up of several elements. These tariffs were as follows in the first half of 2022, for different voltage levels and connection types:
